World Liberty Congress Celebrates the Awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to María Corina Machado

The World Liberty Congress celebrates the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to María Corina Machado in recognition of her tireless and courageous commitment to freedom, democracy, and human dignity in Venezuela.

This honor is bestowed upon both one extraordinary leader and an entire nation that continues to  endure the weight of dictatorship, yet resists with courage and conviction. It is a tribute to the countless Venezuelans who have given their lives, those unjustly imprisoned for daring to dissent, those forced into exile, and the millions who still face  persecution while holding fast to their dream of a free Venezuela.

María Corina Machado, the first Venezuelan to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, has been a voice of moral clarity in a time of darkness. Her unwavering stance against tyranny, her relentless pursuit of peaceful democratic change, and her refusal to compromise the principles of liberty embody the very spirit of this Prize. In honoring her, the world honors the Venezuelan people — women and men, who, despite repression, hunger, and exile, remain unbroken in their fight for justice and democracy.

Today,  the Nobel Peace Prize becomes a symbol of solidarity between free peoples and those struggling to be free. It reminds the international community that the cause of Venezuela is the cause of humanity: that no people should be condemned to silence, poverty, and persecution by illegitimate power.

The World Liberty Congress calls on all nations, institutions, and individuals of conscience to redouble their support for the Venezuelan people in their pursuit of liberty. The path to democracy may be long and costly, but with courage and unity, Venezuela shall be free.

Freedom for Venezuela is freedom for us all.
