The World Liberty Congress (WLC) strongly condemns the escalating political violence and civil unrest currently threatening democratic stability in Bolivia.
As a global coalition dedicated to defending freedom and resisting authoritarian overreach, we view the violent clashes, deployment of explosives, and attempts to breach government buildings in La Paz with profound concern. We firmly reject any attempts to bypass democratic processes through intimidation, subversion, or mob rule, which only undermine the fundamental rights of the Bolivian people.
We declare our unequivocal support for the constitutionally and democratically elected president of Bolivia, Rodrigo Paz, who took office following the historic October 2025 elections. After nearly two decades of one-party dominance, Bolivia’s transition must be safeguarded against factional violence and economic extortion. We urge the government and civil society leaders to engage in open, constructive dialogue to resolve the current economic grievances peacefully, without sacrificing rule of law.
Finally, the World Liberty Congress calls upon the citizens of Bolivia to stand resilient and protect their hard-won democracy. True democratic progress cannot thrive in an environment of chaos and lawlessness. We urge all Bolivians to reject violence, respect constitutional mechanisms, and unite in defending the democratic institutions that guarantee a free, just, and prosperous future for their nation.
